The Tea and Poetry program was used as an opportunity at the launching of my new book, Journeys (a collection of poems), Nadia Assaf-Cole was gracious in letting us use Nadia’s Restaurant as the venue to help MaryMartha Education Foundation raise money in support of women and girls’ education in Liberia. You would be surprised what a handful of people can do. We raised a little over $500 that went towards scholarship funds.
